about

At the age of fifty six, after a lifetime of making records,
I`ve finally gone and made one on my own, playing solo. It felt like the right thing to do, partly because I wanted people to hear the lovely sound of my Collings guitar, unadorned. I ́ve been playing it almost exclusively since 2003 and I love it more for every twang.
I moved to Falun, Dalarna; Sweden in 2001, but I`ve been loving the wild and beautiful tunes of the region since the mid 90`s when I stared coming here to play with my band, Swåp. I never played the tunes, though, it was my job to think of fun rhythms and harmonies.
Recently though I`ve been enjoying playing the actual melodies, temporarily abandoning the plectrum to return to the fingerstyle of my youth.
During these solitary recording sessions I started to fantasize that I was Joseph Spence, the Bahamian guitarist, and wondering how he might play these crazy melodies. I really hope that you can hear his influence, withought the coughing, though you can hear me sniffing at the difficult bits if you listen carefully!
And I hope you like the record, it would be great if you`d like to write a review.
